Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator in Seattle, WA. The role supports the sales team and Regional Clinical Advisors, serving as the local patient care representative.

The position is paid per fitting, requires travel to hospitals and patients’ homes, and may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Training and certification will be provided by Kestra.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background such as nurses, cardiac device sales representatives, clinical engineers, catheterization lab technicians, physician assistants, or ECG technicians.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Completion of background check. Florida and Ohio must complete a level 2 screening paid for by Kestra.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90-day probationary period.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record.
• Ability to consistently work in the field in and around the region.
• Must be able to achieve credentialing for hospital system entry including, but not limited to: Vaccination and immunization documentation, background check, drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Act as a contractor ASSURE® Patient Specialist (APS) to fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure® patients with patient care skills.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Accept assignments including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals, patients’ homes and healthcare facilities to provide fittings.
• Measure the patient to determine garment size.
• Transmit essential paperwork to receive the Assure® garment and services.
• Manage inventory of Assure® system kits and garments.
• Maintain confidentiality as required.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
