Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist to fit and train patients with a wearable defibrillator in the Vineland, NJ area. The role requires traveling to hospitals and patients' homes, with emphasis on accurate garment sizing and patient instruction.

The APS will partner with Regional Clinical Advisors, maintain confidentiality, and handle paperwork and inventory. This is a paid per fitting position with flexible hours and potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family caregiver).
• Clinical or engineering background incl. nurses, clinical engineers, etc.
• Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable).
• Background check required; Florida and Ohio level 2 screening paid by Kestra.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing during 90-day probation.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to travel in the region; disclosures for relationships.
• Credentialing for hospital systems; vaccination/immunization status.
• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Agree to hospital policies and procedures.
• Complete HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Electrical/Fire Safety online courses.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator.
• Provide instruction and instill confidence in ASSURE patients.
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Work across daytime, evening and weekend hours as needed.
• Travel to hospitals and patients' homes for fittings.
• Measure patient to determine garment size.
• Process paperwork for garment and services.
• Manage inventory of Assure system kits and components.
• Adhere to confidentiality and privacy policies.
