Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • NASD, Series 7, Series 63, and Insurance licenses.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, sales, leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customized investment strategies for members and coach team members in sales.
  • Guide retirement planning, tax-efficient investing, estate considerations, and income strategies.
  • Deliver personalized financial plans aligned with client objectives and life stages.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes and economic developments.
  • Grow assets under management through referrals and partnerships.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and rebalance as needed.
  • Maintain regulatory and ethical standards and ensure client documentation is accurate.

About the role:

The wealth advisor is responsible for the sales of wealth management products. This individual serves the members of multiple branches; provides coaching and sales support to team members; identifies, profiles and meets with prospective clients; reviews investment goals; prepares presentations to recommend members appropriate investment products; follows up on client contacts; and closes sales of wealth management products.

This position has a base rate of $48,000 + a sizeable commission structure.

A Day in the life of the wealth advisor can look like:
  • Provide customized investment strategies to help members as well as sales support and coaching to team members, providing tools and incentives for members to utilize the credit union’s investment & insurance services.
  • Provide guidance on retirement planning, tax-efficient investing, estate considerations, and income strategies.
  • Deliver personalized financial plans aligned with client objectives and life stages.
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Grow asset under management through referrals, networking, and internal partnerships.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and rebalance as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation with in the CRM and ensure suitability requirements are met.
  • Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
What you bring to the table:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • NASD, Series 7, Series 63, and Insurance licenses.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, sales, leadership and organizational skills.
You might also have:
  • BA or BS degree from a four-year institution.
  • Experience in public speaking and leading public seminars.
