Job summary

WaTech, the state's technology solutions agency, is seeking a WCSM Budget Analyst to support budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for the Workers’ Compensation Systems Modernization program. You will partner with executive sponsors and program leadership to deliver timely financial insights.

This telework-eligible role requires advanced Excel skills, public-sector budget experience, and the ability to translate spending data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Nine years of professional experience in budget development, execution and report development.
• Four years of professional experience in public sector budgeting and accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, IF/SumIf).
• Ability to take action to learn and grow.
• Ability to take action to meet the needs of others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the program’s key budget analyst to Executive Sponsors and Program leadership.
• Lead program budget planning and forecast financial impacts.
• Compile and create financial reports and monitor budget.
• Analyze budget variance and spending, and advise leadership.
