Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, Texas is seeking a Signage and Wayfinding Specialist to lead wayfinding for facilities projects, acting as the owner's representative to ensure signage meets stakeholder needs.

This role collaborates with Facilities Planning, Project Managers, vendors, and internal teams; develops message schedules, location plans, budgets, and coordinates fabrication/installation with the overall schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent education/experience.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops wayfinding scope of work with Facilities Planning, Project Managers, stakeholders, consultants, and vendors.
• Creates signage message schedules and location plans, and coordinates fabrication/installation with project schedules.
• Procures signage vendors; reviews invoices for payment.
• Performs site visits, reviews submittals, and develops punch lists during construction.
• Supports signage maintenance, lifecycle projects, and operational requests from planning to installation.
• Works with Facilities Information Management and architectural teams to assign room numbers.
