Job summary

Santa Fe Water Systems is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will oversee multiple projects from planning to execution, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and installation teams to meet timelines and budgets.

You will leverage SolidWorks for design work and manage take-offs, risk assessments, and communications with customers and contractors. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in waterworks, piping, valves, or mechanical systems.
• Proficient with SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of AWWA, ASME, ASTM, ISO, AWS standards and municipal specs.
• Good communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• High level project planning, budgeting scheduling, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Maintain and improve professional long-term relationships with customers & vendors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and installation to ensure project objectives are met within timelines and budget constraints.
• Use SolidWorks for design and development of projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and stakeholders. Provide updates and address concerns during project execution.
• Perform industrial take-offs (Bill of Materials) for material purchasing.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor project progress and performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
