American Water Works Association seeks a project manager to lead consultant-driven civil engineering efforts for water and wastewater capital projects. Responsible for planning, design, permitting, public involvement, and construction management, you will coordinate with agencies and staff to ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities include scope and budget development, reviewing designs and estimates, and guiding consultants through design and construction.

Formación

• Comprehensive understanding of public water and sewer utility operations.
• Proficient in civil engineering design, operation, construction and maintenance of water/wastewater systems.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Experience managing capital improvement and/or developer extensions projects.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate projects with consultants, staff, agencies for planning, design, permitting, bidding phases.
• Review studies, designs, specs, and cost estimates for extensions/capital projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget development and reporting.
• Supervise consultants and interns as needed.
• Plan and budget capital improvement projects and contribute to policy decisions.
• Provide technical support to other departments and assist in construction management.
