Job summary

Souder, Miller & Associates is seeking a Project Engineer I/III for its Water Resources department in Santa Fe, NM. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science and a NM-eligible PE license with 4–8 years of post-graduate experience.

The candidate will manage projects including planning, design, construction administration, and observation of water systems, and will coordinate with clients and regulators while supporting marketing and contract development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required.
• 4–8 years of post-graduation experience.
• Professional/Occupational (PE) licensure required and/or ability to be licensed in New Mexico within 6 months of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets for assigned projects; direct profitability of projects.
• Monitor and manage work-in-process, client billings, accounts receivable, and collection efforts.
• Manage project and team schedules, and ensure timely completion; forecast workload for staff.
