Job summary

RESPEC seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer for our Loveland, Colorado location. The role involves designing and delivering water and wastewater projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and presenting designs to clients and the public.

A strong foundation in civil/environmental engineering and hands-on project experience are essential. Applicants should have an EIT, 3+ years in water/wastewater facilities, and a Colorado PE or path to licensure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in civil/environmental engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of water/wastewater facilities experience
  • Engineer-In-Training certification
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for work

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve clients' technical challenges
  • Develop project designs, drawings, reports, specs, and other deliverables
  • Track project progress within scope and schedule and alert managers of issues
  • Prepare concise written communications and participate in client and team meetings
  • Present design projects to clients and the public as needed

RESPEC seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer for our Loveland, Colorado location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve our clients’ technical challenges
  • Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and other contract deliverables
  • Track project progress within established project scopes and schedules, and alert project managers of any issues that may affect them
  • Prepare clear and concise written communications and participate in client and team meetings
  • Present design projects, as required, as part of outreach to clients and the public
Qualifications
Required
  • A bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience related to water and wastewater facilities, including pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems, and other water-resources related facilities
  • Possess an Engineer-In-Training certification
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience related to water and wastewater facilities, including pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems, and other water-resources related facilities
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles
  • Understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Design plans and specifications production experience
  • Software knowledge (e.g., Excel, Word, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Information
Compensation

Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
