Job summary

RESPEC in Loveland, Colorado, seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our 100% employee-owned team. You’ll work on projects that address water and wastewater challenges, apply data-driven approaches, and deliver environmentally responsible solutions.

Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. Responsibilities include collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, developing designs, plans, reports, and specifications, tracking progress, and presenting projects to clients and the

Qualifications

  • BS in civil or environmental engineering
  • 3+ years in water/wastewater facilities
  • Engineer-In-Training certification
  • Valid driver's license (and clean driving record)
  • Colorado PE license preferred within 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve clients' technical challenges
  • Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and other contract deliverables
  • Track project progress within established scopes and schedules, and alert managers of issues
  • Prepare clear written communications and participate in client and team meetings
  • Present design projects to clients and the public as required

RESPEC seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer for our Loveland, Colorado location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve our clients’ technical challenges

  • Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and other contract deliverables

  • Track project progress within established project scopes and schedules, and alert project managers of any issues that may affect them

  • Prepare clear and concise written communications and participate in client and team meetings

  • Present design projects, as required, as part of outreach to clients and the public


Required:


  • A bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience related to water and wastewater facilities, including pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems, and other water-resources related facilities

  • Possessan Engineer-In-Training certification

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel


Preferred:


  • Professional Engineer(PE) license in Coloradoor the ability to obtain within 6 months

  • Experience related to water and wastewater facilities, including pumping systems, water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution systems, and other water-resources related facilities

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles

  • Understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure

  • Design plans and specifications production experience

  • Software knowledge (e.g., Excel, Word, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
