Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a City Research Scientist III in Arkville, NY to coordinate applied research and monitoring for the Stream Management Program within the SWP directorate. You will manage projects, contracts, and deliverables and translate findings into DEP planning and implementation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a physical, biological, environmental science or public health.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage scientific research, assessment, monitoring, and technical support initiatives for the Stream Management Program.
• Develop and update SMP work plans in collaboration with DEP staff, partners, and academics.
• Plan, track, and report on technical and scientific projects, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Facilitate interagency collaboration and coordinate trainings, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare management reports, technical memoranda, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
