Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a Watershed Plan Reviewer II to analyze construction plans for regulatory compliance and to provide plan review services and field support under supervision. The role requires extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles and related codes.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, managing documents in Accela, and coordinating with multiple city departments and external agencies to facilitate permits and project approvals.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Federal, State, City and AWWA Codes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and critique engineering plans, drawings, plats, surveys, and cross-sections.

Responsibilities

• Review engineer drawings, studies, and reports; create and comment on plan revisions for approval.
• Manage documents and data; route plans through the review process using Accela permitting software.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, City, and AWWA Codes for engineering design requirements.
• Explain departmental procedures to customers for permits and payments; direct customers to service areas.
• Coordinate with Engineering Divisions, Watershed Offices, City Departments, and external agencies.
• Create accurate cost estimates for projects.
• Perform site visits to gather information and oversee pre-construction meetings.
