Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Director for Integrated Watershed Management to lead the direction, coordination, and quality of work across HDR’s service lines in watershed management, water supply, groundwater and water quality. You will build relationships with related business classes, sectors, and operations while driving strategic planning and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Must maintain a professional Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles where core service is technical design.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships across offices, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through process and resource reviews and advisory services.
• Drive quality assurance and control in coordination with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques.
• Develop strategic plans for the business class with market sector directors.
• Foster cross-office teamwork and information sharing.
• Monitor direction, policies, quality assurance, tools, staffing and workload allocation.
• Recruit and train to build technical expertise and production capacity.
• Support client development and project pursuits with technical experts.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and functions.
