Job summary

Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission seeks a Watershed Technician to coordinate inspections and site visits of watershed dams across Georgia. The role reports under general supervision and includes reporting and documentation responsibilities.

The selected candidate will perform inspections, maintain communications with district representatives, and assist project managers with dam-related construction and maintenance projects. A valid GA driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with two years of job-related experience.
• Some positions may require a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Windows Office Suites and GIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend and present at public Soil and Water Conservation District meetings.
• Maintain communication with district representatives regarding dams in their area.
• Conduct site visits, complete inspections, and generate reports for watershed dams.
• Assist with organization and recording of documents for watershed dams.
• Assist Project Managers with oversight of construction and maintenance projects.
