Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a Watershed Manager II to oversee the Office of Engineering Services' administrative functions, budgets, data and contracts. This role leads a team of administrators, coordinates stormwater compliance, and guides environmental projects, with hybrid work and in-person requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, 5+ years in water management, and licenses in water treatment, MS4, and related fields. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in water resources management, environmental science or policy, land use planning, engineering, soils science, or hydrology.
• 5 years' work experience in a Water Management role with some experience in Billing & Collections.
• Licenses and Certifications including Water Treatment Operator, MS4, Green Infrastructure, Georgia Driver’s License, GA Wastewater Licenses, and related certifications.
• Hybrid work schedule: in-person at least 4 days/week with up to 1 remote day.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, data management, procurement, personnel management, payroll, and stakeholder relations.
• Directly manage administrators across divisions and ensure coverage.
• Coordinate annual budget submissions and financial plans with leadership.
• Oversee flow monitoring and environmental compliance projects.
• Train, coach, and mentor staff; manage programs and budget of training division.
• Manage contracts to ensure compliance and performance.
