Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Lifeguard to safeguard guests and associates across all waterpark areas. You will apply lifesaving skills, perform first aid, and ensure safety and courteous service in a fast-paced resort setting.

Opportunities exist for Deep Water Guards and Head Guards; benefits include health coverage, and a supportive team focused on guest safety and exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• Must pas sa lifeguard certification to be qualified.
• Minimum 1 year lifeguard experience preferred for some openings.
• Must be at least 15 years old due to state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of guests and associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides and waterpark attractions.
• Apply lifesaving skills and first aid when needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and labor regulations for waterpark venues.
• Assist with daily start-up/closure, cleanup, towel collection, and lost-and-found.

Lifeguard

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aLifeguard.In this role, you will be responsible for the safety of guests/associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, and interactive features in all the waterpark areas; applying life-saving skills and first aid to any guest who is in need.

For those applicants with more experience, we are also hiring for Deep Water Guards, as well as Head Guards.

As part of our team,you’llembody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.You’llensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and aregiven responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.

Pay Rate - $15 - $20/Hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, safetyguidelinesand training programs for all waterpark venues
• Apply lifesaving skills and first aid to any guest/associate who is in need.
• Fully understand andcomply withall Federal, State, County and Municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of waterpark outlets/venues, associates, and guests
• Make sure all incidents of guests are escorted to firstaidand rescue reports are filled out properly and that all guest injuries are checked on with the proper Kalahari protocol.
• Assistwith daily startup and closure proceduresofwater park attractions, indoor and outdoor, including trash removal, towel collection, equipment, tubes, and lost and found, and park cleanliness.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• You must passa lifeguardcertification to be qualified for this position.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing based on room occupancy, group, and local business
• Minimum 1 year lifeguard experience is preferred but not required. Experience working in a large resort or recreational/waterpark venue is helpful.
• Must meet the minimum age of 15 years old due to state laws & regulations
