Moffatt & Nichol in Houston, TX seeks a civil engineer with structural coursework to join our waterfront team. You will contribute to the design of ports, marinas, and naval facilities under experienced marine structural engineers.

Opportunity to grow within a global infrastructure firm. Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree with structural emphasis and up to 2 years of experience, with AutoCAD and SAP2000 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural coursework; Master's preferred
• Entry level to 2+ years in heavy civil, structural, or marine/waterfront design
• EIT certification preferred; familiarity with AutoCAD and SAP2000

Responsibilities

• Participates in the conceptual development and design of waterfront structural projects across various industries
• Performs structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures
• Develops finite element models of marine structures using SAP2000 or similar
• Coordinates and develops structural drawings with engineers and drafters
• Performs site visits and inspections of existing structures to evaluate conditions and prepares reports
