Job summary

Brunswick and Freedom Boat Club are seeking a friendly part-time dock staff member to work by the water, greeting members and managing dock operations. You’ll handle check-in/out, assist with reservations, and help ensure a smooth waterfront experience.

The role requires outdoor work, adherence to safety policies, and availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a pay rate of $15 per hour. Join a team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest service on the water.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, balancing and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
• Availability to regularly work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adhere to all safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
• Perform equipment checks to ensure functionality.
• Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to company standards.
• Complete daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
• Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time.
