Job summary

Brunswick Corporation’s Freedom Boat Club is seeking friendly, upbeat dock staff to greet members, assist on the docks and support reservations. This part-time role is on the water, with a variety of boats and frequent customer interactions.

You will check equipment, run check-in/out on a handheld tablet, maintain vessels and marina area, and work weekdays, weekends and holidays outdoors in various weather.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to regularly complete the physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to regularly work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
• Perform equipment checks to ensure functionality and on-board status.
• Clean and maintain vessels and club location.
• Prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Follow all policies and maintain professional appearance.
• Work outdoors and stand for extended periods; operate in marina environment.
