Job summary

Brunswick Corporation’s Freedom Boat Club is hiring dock staff to greet members, assist on the water, and maintain vessels. You’ll work outdoors by the marina, weekdays, weekends and holidays, providing friendly, safety-conscious service.

You’ll handle check-ins/outs on handheld tablets, perform equipment checks, and help keep weather logs and fuel records. Physical stamina and a valid driver’s license are required, with eligibility for Brunswick benefits.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to regularly perform the physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
• Availability to regularly work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adhere to all safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
• Perform equipment checks to make sure all necessary equipment is functional and on board.
• Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to company standards.
• Complete daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to members.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
• Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time.
