Job summary

The Foth Companies is offering a Civil Engineering Intern- Waterfront Infrastructure position for Summer 2027 in Green Bay, WI or Madison, WI. You will work with experienced engineers on waterfront projects that support Great Lakes ports, harbors, and navigation systems.

You will gain practical experience in waterfront inspections, hydrographic surveying, dredging support, construction observation, and engineering design while applying classroom knowledge to real infrastructure work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar engineering field from an ABET-accredited program.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with team members on various project deliverables in the dredging, environmental permitting, civil and coastal engineering fields.
• Conduct topographic & hydrographic surveys and 3D drone scans with certified team members.
• Assist with structural inspections and construction oversight activities.
• Support design work utilizing AutoCAD.
• Prepare local, state, and federal permit documents.
• Assist with data management and report preparation.
