Job summary

Foth is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support our coastal infrastructure team in Newport, RI or Marion, MA for Summer 2027. You’ll work with experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in waterfront engineering, including structural inspections, hydrographic surveying, dredging, construction management, and more.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or similar engineering field from an ABET‑accredited program.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with team members on project deliverables in dredging, environmental permitting, civil and coastal engineering.
• Conduct topographic & hydrographic surveys and 3D drone scans with certified team members.
• Assist with structural inspections and construction oversight activities.
• Support design work utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare local, state, and federal permit documents.
• Assist with data management and report preparation.
