The Foth Companies invites applications for a Civil Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027 to support our coastal infrastructure team in Newport, RI or Marion, MA. You will work with experienced engineers on waterfront projects, including dredging, surveys, inspections, and permitting, gaining hands-on industry experience.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil or Ocean Engineering from ABET-accredited programs, with a 3.0+ GPA and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, and are eager to

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or similar engineering field from an ABET‑accredited program
• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Responsibilities

• Work directly with team members on project deliverables in dredging, environmental permitting, civil and coastal engineering
• Conduct topographic & hydrographic surveys and 3D drone scans with certified team members
• Assist with structural inspections and construction oversight activities
• Support design work utilizing AutoCAD
• Prepare local, state, and federal permit documents
• Assist with data management and report preparation

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or similar engineering field from an ABET-accredited program

GPA of 3.0 or greater
