Foth is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support our coastal infrastructure team in Newport, RI or Marion, MA for Summer 2027. You will work with experienced engineers on dredging, hydrographic surveying, and waterfront projects to apply classroom knowledge to protect coastlines and navigate nationwide challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or similar engineering field from an ABET-accredited program.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Responsibilities

• Work directly with team members on project deliverables in dredging, environmental permitting, civil and coastal engineering fields.
• Conduct topographic & hydrographic surveys and 3D drone scans with certified team members.
• Assist with structural inspections and construction oversight activities.
• Support design work utilizing AutoCAD.
• Prepare local, state, and federal permit documents.
• Assist with data management and report preparation
