Job summary

Brunswick's Freedom Boat Club is seeking friendly dock staff to greet members, manage reservations, and assist on the docks. This part-time role is outdoors, by the water, with a variety of boats and a focus on customer service.

You will work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, using handheld tablets and a phone to communicate and coordinate. Prior boating familiarity helps, and a positive, professional attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets and communicate via phone.
• Availability to work regularly weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adhere to all safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Navigate the reservation system via handheld tablet.
• Complete daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Support the team to reach common goals.
• Ensure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
• Work outside in the elements and stand for extended periods.
