Job summary

Shaner Hotels' Courtyard Faro Blanco Resort in Marathon, FL is seeking a bartender for Blue Waters Bar + Grill. Take orders, prepare and serve beverages and light meals according to hotel standards; maintain outlet cleanliness and stock; work flexible shifts including weekends.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in F&B, knows safety and cost controls, is fluent in English (Spanish a plus), and enjoys guest service. ServSafe or TIPS training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience of at least 1 year in Restaurant/F&B.
• Able to serve alcoholic beverages per state age requirements.
• Able to read safety rules and operation manuals.
• Able to communicate clearly with guests and staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe or food safety training is a plus.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS) is a plus.
• Familiar with cost controls in food and beverage.
• Basic math skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities for guests.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve beverages and light meals per hotel specs.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with daily F&B procedures.
• Respond to guest issues related to the department.
• Communicate with General Manager and other managers.
