Job summary

Alliance Water Resources is seeking a Utility Worker I for the Lake Ozark, MO area. This temporary role involves manual work maintaining and repairing water/wastewater facilities and equipment, including street maintenance tasks.

The position runs 7:30 am–4:00 pm Monday–Friday with on-call weekends in rotation. Candidates must meet education and licensing requirements and be able to perform heavy labor and operate tools and vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED and one-year experience in construction.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker and air brake endorsements.
• Wastewater D License, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of safety standards and precautions related to water or wastewater operations.
• Ability to use and maintain tools, equipment, and computers associated with water or wastewater operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists or performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and repair work on water/wastewater equipment, systems, vehicles, and tools as needed.
• Cleans and maintains assigned facilities including office, shop, grounds, and/or streets, parks or other public works facilities and equipment.
• Investigates and reports on water distribution and/or wastewater concerns and issues.
• Performs locating of water and wastewater facilities.
• Performs service turn-ons and turn-offs as directed.
• Monitors inventory of parts and supplies as directed; assists or maintains records and logs as needed.

Education

High school diploma or GED

One-year experience in construction

Equivalent combination of education and experience
