Job summary

Alliance Water Resources is seeking a Utility Worker I to join our team in the Kearney, MO area. This role performs manual labor related to operation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater facilities and equipment, plus street and grounds maintenance.

Schedule is 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday-Friday with on-call and standby hours. Candidate will assist in meter reading, sample collection, and safety compliance while driving assigned routes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write.
• Knowledge of safety standards for water/wastewater operations.
• Ability to use and maintain tools, equipment, and computers.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on water/wastewater equipment and facilities.
• Read meters, log results, and assist in meter reading and billing.
• Assist with sample collection and testing to comply with regulations.
• Operate and drive company vehicles for service routes.
