Job summary

HKA Enterprises, Inc. in Americus, GA is seeking a dependable Utility Worker to support operations and maintenance at a water/wastewater treatment facility.

This hands-on role involves routine servicing, equipment cleaning, grounds upkeep, and material handling outdoors and indoors to keep the plant running safely. You will lift up to 50 lbs, inspect equipment, follow safety protocols, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required for certifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, reach and work at varying heights.
• PPE will be provided; safe work practices are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
• Clean vehicles, heavy equipment, and related components.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment; perform minor maintenance such as oil changes and greasing.
• Operate and maintain equipment for loading, hauling, and spreading materials.
• Maintain grounds and buildings; lawn care and landscaping.
• Transport materials and tools to support operations and maintenance.
• Keep records of materials handled and applied.
