Job summary

City of Palm Bay, FL is seeking a wastewater treatment plant supervisor for the North Regional Utilities Campus. The role directs operations, ensures compliance with EPA/state rules, and leads staff in plant maintenance and testing.

Requirements include a high school diploma, six years WWTP experience, three years supervisory experience, and a valid Florida driver’s license with a Class A certification. Local candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus a minimum of six (6) years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Possess and maintain a Class A certification as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator from the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains the North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and related facilities to comply with EPA and state regulations.
• Directs and supervises plant personnel; oversees tests, analyses, and laboratory operations.
• Administers routine personnel matters including recruitment, supervision, training, and performance records.
• Prepares and submits state and federal reports and coordinates with regulatory authorities.
• Oversees equipment maintenance, budgeting, and expenditure tracking for the plant.
• May be assigned to shift work, weekends, holidays, and after-hour calls.
