Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support water and wastewater facilities in Groveland, FL. You will inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems critical to the treatment process.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation, with exposure to VFDs, piping, and safety protocols. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in maintaining reclaimed water transmission and distribution facilities and related equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and record data from meters, gauges, panels, and other equipment.
• Must read blueprints and schematics; able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, blowers, and chemical feed equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components such as control panels, motor starters, relays, sensors, and wiring.
• Maintain and calibrate instrumentation and automation systems used in water and wastewater processes.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair piping systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment for efficient plant operations.
