Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking an entry-level Water / Wastewater Field Service Technician in Bushnell, FL. You will operate and maintain water distribution systems, lift stations, and water/wastewater plant equipment, including remote pump stations and meters.

The role offers growth within the utility sector, on-call duties with a weekly $200 bonus, and potential for advancing technical licenses. A high school diploma and relevant maintenance experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school, including or supplemented by courses in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of pumps, compressors, electric motors, and plumbing fixtures preferred.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on lift stations, E-1 grinder pump stations, water plants, splash pad facilities, wastewater plants, and associated assets, including generators, auxiliary pumps, blowers, and inspections.
• Repair leaks to water lines, sewer E-1 pressurized lines, and force mains as needed.
• Replace lift station and/or E-1 submersible pumps when required.
• Install and replace water meters as needed.
• Perform monthly meter readings.
• Work with utility billing and customer service functions.
