Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a dedicated Utility Service Worker to support the construction, maintenance, and operation of the town's water and wastewater systems. You will interact with customers and record daily facility operations, ensuring safe and reliable service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a clean Class C license, and within 6–12 months possession of Class B CDL and water/wastewater operator licenses. On-call responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record required.
• Licenses for water and wastewater operations within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, repair and maintain the water and wastewater systems.
• Read meters on assigned routes and record readings with handheld devices.
• Assist in sampling, construction, and installation of taps, meters and related devices.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of facilities and stations.
• Be on call after hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment and collaborate with city departments.
