Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Facility Operator for the West Houston area (Tomball, Katy, Cypress, The Woodlands) to support operation of water production facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, booster stations, distribution systems and the wastewater collection system.

Under the Field Supervisor, you will perform essential duties, monitor water quality, adjust chemical treatments to meet standards, and complete customer service work orders with proper

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Minimum license requirement of C Water or C Wastewater for FO I; dual licensing for FO II; dual licensing of at least B Water and B Wastewater for FO III.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintains equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operates sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analysis per procedures.
• Adjusts chemical treatment to meet water quality standards.
• Completes customer service work orders and maintains system documentation.
• Works safely and in compliance with policies and laws.
