Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. in the West Houston area is seeking a Facility Operator to maintain water production facilities, booster stations, and wastewater lift stations, ensuring safe operation of distribution systems. You will perform routine water quality analyses, adjust treatment to meet standards, and complete work orders while following safety regulations.

A high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and appropriate licenses are required; on-call nights and weekends are necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Licensing: FO I requires C Water or C Wastewater; FO II requires dual licensing; FO III requires B or above Water and Wastewater.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operate and maintain distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintain equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operate and maintain sewer collection systems including mains and pump stations.
• Complete customer service work orders and document activities per procedures.
