Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Facility Operator in the West Houston area (including Tomball, Katy, Cypress, The Woodlands) to support water production facilities, wastewater treatment, lift stations, and the distribution system. The role requires maintaining equipment, monitoring quality, and complying with all state regulations.

Licensing requirements include C Water and C Wastewater for FO levels; on-call availability may be required to support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• C Water and C Wastewater licenses required for FO I/II/III levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment at water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Maintains equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analyses and ensures compliance with standards.
