Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Resident Engineer (Water/Wastewater) in the Puget Sound area to oversee construction, manage interfaces among client, designers, agencies, and contractors, and ensure adherence to contract and permitting requirements.

You will lead a team of site staff and inspectors, monitor progress, safety, and costs, and keep the client apprised of changes and outcomes. PE license or PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 10+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager.
• Experience with alternative delivery contracts (GCCM, DB, PDB) preferred.
• Proven experience with large water/wastewater projects in Puget Sound.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, and client relationships.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Interface with client, designers, authorities and contractors to oversee construction.
• Lead a team of site staff and inspectors to meet project goals.
• Report progress, safety, finances, and contract changes to stakeholders.
• Promote safe construction practices and high-quality workmanship.
