Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. is seeking a Lead Construction Inspector for Water/Wastewater in the Puget Sound area. You will inspect pipeline and facilities construction, document field conditions, and coordinate with engineers and project managers to resolve issues.

You will review plans, track inspections, and ensure adherence to contract requirements while maintaining detailed records and reporting. Proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent project experience
• 5+ years of water/wastewater and/or facilities inspection and construction management experience
• Knowledge of drainage/utility construction materials and testing methods
• Experience with large-scale multi-contractor projects
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk/ascend/descend varied terrains
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues
• Perform quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and standards
• Monitor contractor work to ensure proper construction methods, quality, and safety
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, drawings, change orders, and RFIs in the field
• Prepare and maintain documentation: inspection logs, daily reports, photos, and records
• Identify and track non-compliant work and coordinate corrective actions
• Attend pre-installation and construction meetings as required
• Use Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam to summarize findings and track progress
