Job summary

Xylem Inc. in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee cross-functional projects, ensure timely delivery, and align technology with client goals. You will coordinate with senior leaders, manage budgets and vendor relationships, and communicate progress to clients throughout engagements.

The role emphasizes integrating smart water technology, maintaining quality, and driving growth within the Xylem Vue division. Travel up to 30% may be required as projects dictate.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year university with a major in engineering, or related field; Bachelors degree and 3 years project management experience, or a post-graduate degree in engineering.
• Relevant experience in a similar field or Xylem experience will be considered.
• Must be proficient with computer hardware and software (Microsoft, SmartSheets, Atlassian).

Responsibilities

• Author project plans (Smartsheet/Atlassian), Charters, Statements of Work, Work Breakdown Structures, Risk Mitigation plans, Quality Plans, and System Acceptance Test plans.
• Manage project change orders, contracts, and drive internal stakeholders for deliverables.
• Perform monthly budget reconciliations, expenses, hourly effort tracking and invoicing where applicable.
• Understand Xylem digital technologies and present concepts to utility managers.
• Architect and deliver sustainable, scalable project solutions through collaboration with senior managers and key stakeholders.
• Provide technical scope and costing for proposals.
