Job summary

Slayden Constructors is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects for municipal and industrial clients across Oregon.

Join a team delivering complex projects from Medford to Portland with focus on safety, quality, and on-time completion. You will manage cost, schedule, and coordination with A/E partners, subs, and clients, while mentoring engineers and field staff.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7–10 years of construction, design, finance and management experience on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• 3–5 years of experience on water or wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, cost controls, forecasting, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, leadership, and influence.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts for preconstruction and construction activities.
• Monitor and control construction through on-site managers to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Represent the Company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations and strategy meetings.
• Manage contracts finances including fee, rental equipment, income, expenses, and other project costs.
• Lead the project team to complete the Management Administration Plan and utilize planning tools throughout the project.
• Ensure safety practices and policies are followed by direct-reporting employees.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers, field engineers, and superintendents.
• Coordinate procurement of subcontractors and materials via Purchase Agreements and Subcontracts.
• Support Change Management, Cost Estimating, Revenue & Cost Forecasting, and Scheduling.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, clients, engineers, and stakeholders for successful execution.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations Director.
