Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in California to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a dynamic consulting environment.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, engage clients, and deliver practical solutions that improve long-term water reliability, from pipes and tanks to treatment facilities.

This hybrid role offers collaboration with a seasoned team and opportunities to grow technical, managerial, and business development skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including 2+ years in a project management role.
  • California PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and Kennedy Jenks offices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and construction support, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery.
  • Oversee engineering deliverables: plans, specs, cost estimates, technical documents, and reports.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to resolve questions and issues.
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in hiring and recruitment efforts.
  • Engage clients through meetings and presentations to strengthen relationships.
  • Support business development by shaping proposals and budgets.
