Job summary

Kennedy Jenks Consultants in California seeks a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in a dynamic consulting environment. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, strengthen partnerships, and deliver practical solutions that support long‑term water reliability.

You will manage planning, design, and construction support; oversee deliverables; coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams; and mentor staff while contributing to business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure, with at least 2+ years in a project management role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and Kennedy Jenks offices as needed.
• Experience with site civil design, technical writing, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction support while managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery.
• Oversee development of engineering deliverables including plans, specs, estimates, and project reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to address questions and resolve issues.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and architectural disciplines.
