Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Mentor, OH to lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater systems—managing budgets, schedules, and risk while building strong client relationships.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with leadership on project delivery strategies, and support business development efforts to grow the firm’s water/wastewater practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment, or ability to be registered with reciprocity.
• 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater collection, distribution, pumping systems, storage, treatment, and utility infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD Civil 3D, REVIT; hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
• Hydraulic modeling of collection systems and/or distribution systems is a plus.
• Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
• Servant leader committed to collaboration, innovation, and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager and technical resource for water and wastewater projects, managing budgets, schedules, and risk on assigned projects
• Lead the planning and design of water/wastewater projects including wastewater collection systems, lift stations, force mains, treatment facilities, and related studies
• Support project delivery from kickoff through closeout with on-time, on-budget execution and strong client experiences
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients and support pursuit of new opportunities
• Develop statements of qualifications, proposals, and presentations for business development
• Collaborate with senior leadership to use traditional and alternative project delivery methods
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff in design and project delivery
