Job summary

Burgess & Niple, Inc. invites qualified candidates to join our national civil engineering team as a Water/Wastewater Project Manager. You will own the full project lifecycle across water and wastewater systems, balancing budgets, schedules, and risk while building lasting client relationships.

You'll mentor junior staff, contribute to business development pursuits, and collaborate with senior leadership on delivery methods to position yourself for continued advancement within the firm.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the employing state or reciprocity eligibility is required.
• 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater design and utility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager and technical resource for water and wastewater projects, managing budgets, schedules, and risk on assigned projects.
• Lead the planning and design of water/wastewater projects including treatment plants, water transmission mains, water booster stations, sanitary sewers, sanitary force mains, sanitary pump stations, and developing master plans.
• Support project delivery from kickoff through closeout, maintaining quality and contributing to strong client experiences through clear communication and on-time, on-budget execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while supporting pursuit of new opportunities.
• Support development of statements of qualifications, proposals, and presentations for business development efforts creating an exemplary client experience throughout the delivery process.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute work using traditional and alternative project delivery methods.
• Mentor and develop junior engineering staff in design and project delivery.
• Support development of strong client relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited program)
