Job summary

Burgess & Niple seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to own the lifecycle of critical infrastructure projects in our Akron, OH area office. You will lead teams across design and delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction while guiding business development efforts.

Ideal candidates bring PE licensure, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and REVIT, with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment or eligible for reciprocity.
• 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater collection, distribution, pumping, storage, treatment, and utility infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager and technical resource for water and wastewater projects, managing budgets, schedules, and risk on assigned projects.
• Lead the planning and design of water/wastewater projects including sewers, lift stations, and treatment facilities.
• Support project delivery from kickoff through closeout with a focus on quality, on-time, and on-budget execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients and pursue new opportunities.
• Support development of qualifications, proposals, and presentations for business development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement traditional and alternative project delivery methods.
• Mentor and develop junior staff in design and project delivery.
