Job Description
Job Summary
  • A motivated civil engineer with 7+ years of experience and a strong interest in the water industry and environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental sustainability and be adept at managing multiple projects efficiently. Responsibilities include planning, designing, and overseeing water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client needs.
General Accountabilities
  • Recognize client problems or desires and translate them into actionable needs.
  • Evaluate, design, and administer construction of water and wastewater systems, including:
    • Water transmission and distribution systems
    • Water treatment systems
    • Water and wastewater pump systems
    • Wastewater collection and conveying systems
    • Wastewater treatment systems
  • Lead and manage a team of design engineers on water/wastewater projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
  • Oversee and review the work of others for quality assurance.
  • Develop work plans, manage project budgets, and implement strong project management practices.
  • Create and manage project schedules to meet company and client expectations.
  • Participate in meetings and communicate with clients, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • PE registration in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 7+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, proposal preparation, and controlling project costs.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and the public. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and water modeling software.
