Reporting Line

This position reports to: Project Operations Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead all on-site activities of medium to large projects, ensuring cost-effective execution of project deliverables in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. You will lead the site team, define main guidelines, and allocate tasks.

This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Plan project on-site activities with the Site Team Lead, including resources, equipment, and milestones.
  2. Coordinate agreements between customers and external resources on construction targets, health and safety, site organization, and policies.
  3. Manage handover of the site area from Project Manager to the end customer, coordinating all activities to ensure successful start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning, in compliance with specifications and standards.
  4. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers as a project representative.
  5. Ensure a detailed, up-to-date site Health & Safety plan is in place, train on-site resources on health, safety, and environment policies, and promote safety considerations throughout the project. Suspend activities if HSE violations occur and take necessary steps to mitigate risks.
  6. Handle, store, and install ABB equipment properly, coordinating logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  7. Manage subcontractors on site to meet quality and progress standards.
Qualifications
  • College degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of service project experience with an electrical OEM, including leading long-term field assignments and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience writing test plans and reports.
  • Willingness to travel 60% within North America and stay away from home for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of UPS, STS, PDU equipment, and engineered solutions site commissioning.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary electrical site teams and third-party contractors.
  • Ability to oversee onsite commissioning, repair activities, and mentor technicians.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
