Job summary

RESPEC seeks a motivated Project Engineer to join our team in San Antonio or Castroville, Texas. This mid-level role focuses on water and wastewater design, project engineering, and strong client relations to deliver high-quality solutions.

You’ll mentor staff, lead projects from concept through completion, and coordinate with regulators to ensure success. A bachelor’s in civil/environmental engineering and 7 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and distribution/collection systems.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and GIS.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design plans, technical reports, and specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a growing team.
• Lead and manage water/wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
• Develop project deliverables, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal teams to ensure project success.
