Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Design Engineer to lead process engineering tasks from planning through construction documents for municipal and industrial facilities. You will model hydraulics, evaluate treatment options, and deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with clients and regulators, and contribute to project success while advancing expertise in water treatment technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of water and wastewater process engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and review process and facility design documents, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction plans for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, storage facilities, and related infrastructure.
• Apply sound engineering judgment and regulatory requirements to ensure technically accurate, compliant, and high-quality project deliverables.
• Perform hydraulic modeling, process modeling, flow analyses, mass balances, and system performance evaluations for capacity planning and optimization.
• Coordinate process design activities with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, clients, utility owners, and regulatory agencies for efficient project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and support to project managers, including design evaluations, cost estimating, and QA/QC activities.
• Evaluate existing water and wastewater systems and develop innovative, sustainable, cost-effective improvements.
