Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Design Engineer to lead design tasks for municipal and industrial facilities. You will guide process evaluations, hydraulic modeling, and equipment sizing, collaborating with clients, regulators, and teams to deliver sustainable infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and ongoing specialization in water treatment and emerging process technologies, with a hybrid office/field work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of water and wastewater process engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review process and facility design documents, calculations, specs, and construction plans for water/wastewater facilities.
• Apply sound engineering judgment and understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant, high-quality deliverables.
• Perform hydraulic modeling, process modeling, flow analyses, mass balances, and system performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and integrate process design activities with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, clients, utility owners, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide technical leadership and support to project managers, including design evaluations, cost estimating, alternatives analysis, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and QA/QC.
• Evaluate existing water and wastewater systems, identify improvement opportunities, and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Education
